The Woodlands Family Photographer | Milestones and Family Photos

One of my favorite aspects of being a The Woodlands Family Photographer, is getting to capture the special milestone memories of children and their families.   Veronica contacted me about scheduling her daughter, Jocelyn’s milestone session for her 10th birthday. Veronica wanted to capture her little girls innocence and youth, her and her husband realized how much she is growing into a beautiful young lady and wanted the opportunity to preserve the memories of their sweet baby girl.  Veronica also brought along her mother, as she wanted to incorporate generational photos as well.

Veronica said her girl was a “tomboy” but loved all things girly as well! So when I suggested she use my purple Dollcake frock, both Veronica and Jocelyn’s eyes lit up! Jocelyn said she felt like a princess wearing the gorgeous long gown and utilizing the customer flower hoop for her session!

I’m glad I got to work with this family.  Veronica, her mother, and sweet Jocelyn were an absolute pleasure to work with. So kind, sweet, and extremely photogenic! I’m so glad they chose me to be their photographer!

Houston Child Photographer | Flower Hoop Mini Sessions

Well! I’m super excited to announce the arrival of our Flower Hoop Mini Sessions, June 24th! They were such an incredible hit last time. I was able to capture so many wonderful little faces and sweet spirits. These sessions are perfect for boys and girls from sitter age and up. The hoop is large enough for me to fit in comfortably, so all ages are welcomed! As a Houston Child Photographer, I love offering fun, themed mini sessions such as this!

The last time we held this session, we truly did have so much fun! All of the sweet kiddos were perfect angels. With as young as the group we had were, I was truly stunned at how smoothly it went. I remember one particular little princess saying that she was sitting in her “magic castle”. How sweet the mind of a child is. I love to see the imagination dance across their eye’s as they slip into their dream world.

These sessions will be held in the last two hours of sunset in Spring, TX. As you can see, those last golden hours are perfect for this style of session. It creates such a magical atmosphere, perfectly suited for your little prince or princess.

$200 – 5 images – 20 minutes

I wish I could reach into the sky and extend the evening light, but sadly I haven’t mastered that particular ability as of yet. For this reason, space is limited so contact me soon to book your very own flower hoop session!

The Woodlands Blue Bonnet Photographer | Blue Bonnets and Best Friends

What’s better than having a photoshoot with your best friends?! Spring time in Texas is always fun, but throw in a couple adorable little girls and we have the makings for a perfect afternoon! Girl time is always fun. These sweet girls are absolute joys and have a love for each other like sisters and I loved capturing that friendship as their The Woodlands Blue Bonnet Photographer. I remember hack when I was their age, I used to play with two girls who lived on my street and we shared a relationship like these three. Sleepovers, make believe games, class bake sales… Wherever one of us was, the other two were sure to be right around the corner.

Sadly, as time went on we eventually parted our separate ways, one moving to Ohio, and I to another school. But I will never forget the wonderful summer days we would spend running up and down the street. As we wandered off into our make-believe wonderlands…. Boy, do I wish I had images like these to document the deep friendships we had together.

I’m so excited that we have captured their friendship for four consecutive years now. They love the bluebonnets, so we do these sessions of all three girls ever year. I have a photo collage of their bluebonnet sessions each year and I’m so incredibly excited to be adding a fourth photo to the wall!

Friendships like this come once in a lifetime. I’m so honored to be a part of the celebration and documentation of that love!

The Woodlands Blue Bonnet Photographer | Spring Time in Texas

Oh spring time in Texas… how I love you! This year’s blue bonnet mini-sessions for 2017 were a huge hit! I adored seeing so many happy and smiling faces and be their The Woodlands Blue Bonnet Photographer. As a proud Texan, I know this season is such a huge part of our community and Texas culture. To be a part of that yearly tradition brings me such happiness and pride.

I had so many great kiddos this year! Our blooms came out early in North Houston and we graciously took full advantage of the extra time we had been blessed with. Bluebonnet minis always come and go so quickly and I miss all the beautiful flowers when they are gone with the arrival of summer’s relentless heat. How wonderful it is to be able to photograph outdoors in this amazing Texas spring weather! I can already feel summer highs creeping up!

About Blue Bonnet Season

This season reminds me so much of the youth of our kiddos. So short… so fleeting, and yet so incredibly precious. I think this is why I adore what I do as a child photographer. Photography allows me to pause time and keep our little sweeties tiny forever, even if they soon will grow big and tall…reaching new endless heights. Take a peek through some of these images and just see how many precious smiles I was lucky enough to capture. Hopefully, I’ll be seeing some of these smiling faces again next year for their annual blue bonnet session! Each child, just like each bloom, is unique and gorgeous in their own special way <3

I had such a wonderful time working with all of these gorgeous kids and their families. Spring’s blue bonnets are one of my favorite things about living here in the great state of Texas.

The Woodlands First Year Photographer | First Year Family Session

One of my favorite aspects of being a The Woodlands First Year Photographer, is getting to capture moments between parents and their children.  This session had a lot of sweet moments between our big one year old Julia and her parents.  Julia giggles with joy when playing with her parents,  and you can see that look of joy and delight as she looks up at her daddy while running up to him.  These moments happen all the time in family exchanges, and I hope we never grow old of appreciating these moments.  I love getting to capture that genuine joy that is exchanged between parent and child.

This family made it easy to do that because Julia loved the camera.  She was happy to climb around on wooden boxes, play in the grass, or hang on to the rails of the wooden bridge.  She did it all with a smile and her cute tip toe walk.  Her parents were troopers to try different poses, different settings, and were a joy to work with.  We even got to get a few shots with Coco, their family dog.

I’m glad I got to work with this family.  Linda contacted me a while back to do family portraits along with Julia’s first birthday shots.  She let me know that their family just moved back from Australia a few months ago so they have been transitioning back to life here in the states.  I’m so glad they chose me to be their photographer!
