What to Wear for Your Fall Mini Session in The Woodlands
One of the most common questions I get as a family photographer in The Woodlands is, “What should we wear for our fall photos?” Choosing the right outfits can make all the difference in how your images look and feel.
For fall mini sessions, I recommend leaning into warm tones and cozy textures. Think shades of rust, mustard, olive green, cream, and navy. These colors look incredible against fall backdrops like the Mossy Tree or Woodlands Waterway. Layers also photograph beautifully, so consider adding a cardigan, scarf, or textured knit to your outfit.
The key is coordinating without being too “matchy.” Choose a color palette of two or three tones and spread them across your family’s outfits. Flowy dresses, well-fitted sweaters, and neutral boots always look timeless. And don’t forget, comfort is important, especially for kids. When everyone feels good in what they’re wearing, it always shines through in the photos.
