Fall in Texas gives us beautiful light and natural backdrops, which means rich tones and cozy layers look incredible. I always recommend leaning into warm, earthy tones like rust, olive, mustard, navy, and cream. These colors photograph beautifully, especially with the golden fall light in areas like WG Jones, Rob Fleming Park, or forested spots in Conroe.
Here are a few tips:
- Coordinate, don’t match. Choose a palette of 3–4 complementary colors and mix textures like denim, linen, and knits.
- Layer up. Add cardigans, scarves, or boots to add depth and seasonal charm.
- Comfort is key. When kids feel good in their clothes, their smiles are more natural and their joy really shines through.
