Spring Break Activity Ideas – Family Photography

Spring Break is just around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited for some time off! Conroe ISD gets 6 days off this year and we are going to make the most of it for sure!

We are ready for some sunshine, spring colors, and just all around nice weather!

Here are a few of our favorite things to do during Spring Break in the Houston and Woodlands areas.

1. Its Rodeo Time!! The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is ongoing during spring break! Not only is there amazing foods (no diets during rodeo season!), fun carnival activities and good ole mutton busting 😉 There is also some amazing performers during that week. Personal faves during that week are Gwen Stefani and Chris Stapleton, along with my daughters favorite Marshmello! The rodeo wraps up with King George Straight on the 20th!!
2. SKATING! Skating is a great indoor activity. Sk8town in the Woodlands is SO MUCH FUN. Tuesday nights are cheap skate nights too, which is so fun. They normally have special hours spring break week so check in with open times.
3. SAFARI TIME! We absolutely adore Aggieland Safari. Its a little drive but the animal interactions and encounter are the best around. I mean where else can you walk right up to a giraffe and feed them!! They have so many fun animals, and a huge turtle area to feed the tortoises as well as bird feeding and goats! Once you have done the interactive part, the drive thru is so much fun with so many more animals! Beware of those ostriches! I am terrified of them ha!
4. ZOO! The Houston Zoo is always a favorite. I mean who doesn’t love seeing all the amazing animals and walking the park. The seal information and encounters is worth waiting for!
5. URBAN AIR! Oh what fun is the trampoline park!! Bouncing and Air Conditioner! What else can you ask for!
6. Lake Woodlands Activities – Such a fun activity for families The water isn’t too hot and they have Paddle Boards, Kayak, Swan Boats and the new water bikes! We haven’t tried the water bikes yet but those are on our list!
7. Hiking! Early morning or late evening again but George Mitchell Preserve and WJ Jones forest offer amazing hiking trails to explore our area! And hey if you do early morning stop and get a sno cone at Bahama Bucks after!
8. Animal Encounters – We have had such fun experiences at TGR Exotics – the snake encounters have been a hit in our household (well not from me lol)!
9. Lastly – what about getting Spring Family Portraits done or on your calendar!! I have so many fun sessions upcoming – unicorn minis, glasshouse sessions, spring family, or just book a session custom for your family!
