Photographer in the Woodlands | Milestone Session with Family Add on
Oh, to have the joy of a child. This little beauty’s smile could illuminate any room! Blakley was such a pleasure to photograph.
about this sweet family
Megan contacted me about doing Blakley’s first birthday photos, but they also wanted to do some family photos as well. Because of timing, we pushed it back a bit, but I think it worked out just fine. I love how they came out – the light was amazing for this early morning shoot, and Blakley was nothing but smiles!
I like to learn a little about my babies before photographing them so that I can better capture their personalities. Mom told me that she’s generally a happy, sweet, giggly little girl, and it’s not too hard to make her smile. She’s a morning person and an adventurous little explorer. In true toddler fashion, even the smallest, silliest things can induce a fit of giggles. She has a way of making you feel like the most special person in the world when she stares into your eyes and laughs uncontrollably from a simple “I’m going to get you” game.
So, we planned our 7am outdoor adventure! I actually love early morning shoots. The stillness is so peaceful, and birds are just beginning to find their voices. Baby Blakley seemed like she had found her happy place when we arrived as she took on her surroundings, mesmerized by fresh shine of the morning. She carefully examined the rocks and leaves. She looked so cute as she conducted her “studies” of her new environment. Mom said she is very careful and meticulous, just like her dad.
For the birthday photos, she was dressed in an adorable tulle skirt, ruffled shirt, and matching floral headband. She happily sat atop a wooden crate with a single golden balloon. Cutest little birthday girl I’ve ever seen! The photo seemed to capture her personality just perfectly. And of course, we got some priceless family portraits, too.
Happy birthday, sweet girl! I hope your year is filled with adventure and wonder!
