Extended Conroe Family Session – Schifler Family
One of the sweetest recurring themes I’ve noticed as a photographer is that mamas LOVE having all of their kiddos together. Whether it be a mom of a baby and a preschooler or a mom of five grown children, their faces just light up when they see their “babies” together.
about this sweet session
So, I wasn’t surprised when Nancy contacted me wanting to do some family photos while their grown children and grandbaby were in town at the same time. Having them all here was a big deal because John and Kara work in New York city—John as a film editor and Kara in HR. They love the urban life and traveling. Meanwhile, Laura and Kyle live in Fort Worth (after meeting at TCU). They’re both incredibly musical and love theater, but more importantly, they’re the loving parents of that handsome little cutie in the photos. Paul and Nance are both retired now and LOVE playing with their baby grandson—just look at the huge smiles on their faces as they snuggled him close.
All together, they were THE most welcoming family to me! They really made me feel like one of their own, and it was so easy to find a natural rhythm while photographing them. Their smiles were so genuine, and they clearly love spending time together, so finding the right shots wasn’t hard (but picking which ones to use was—they were all so sweet!)
We did the session at a park in their Conroe neighborhood, and it was absolutely amazing. The fall foliage seriously looked like we were up north—I couldn’t believe all of the color! And the glow of the sun gave us the perfect lighting for warm family session.
Thanks for the chance to spend some time with your beautiful group, Schifler Family! I truly had an amazing time photographing you all!
