North Houston Family Photographer – Extended Family Sessions

How magical is this golden sunset lighting?! As far as editing goes, I can work some magic when it comes to lighting, but no need this time! The way the rays danced in and out of the branches was the perfect backdrop for this evening session. I couldn’t have asked for a better evening to capture this beautiful family portrait as a North Houston Family Photographer.

I was contacted by Elizabeth to do this extended family session at their stunning home in The Woodlands. The entire family, including her mom and dad, her sister with her son and his fiancee, her brother with his wife and two sons, were so incredibly welcoming and kind to me and my assistant. Sometimes with big groups such as this, it can be somewhat of a challenge to coordinate shots within the time frame that the sunset allows you. But every single member of this great family was so cooperative and attentive to every cue which made this session flow so smoothly.

I was so happy we had enough time to get both individual shots, group shots of each individual family and a large group picture. From personal experience, I know how important it is to make sure to get shots of grandma and grandpa with their grand-kiddos. Not to mention, getting those individual shots of each grandchild from a family is so important.  Grandma and Grandpa dote on them, and squeezing in those moments- it’s time stood still.  It’s exactly as they were at that age.  Importance is quite the understatement.

I was so happy to be able to provide this family with some great images that they’ll be able to treasure for years to come.  For more information on how to book your North Houston Family Photographer session, be sure to contact me!

Woodlands Child Photography Flower Swing Mini Session Annoucnement

I have been developing and dreaming of this idea for quite a while now and am so incredibly excited to announce our Woodlands Child Photography Flower Swing Mini Sessions for 2017! A new custom flower hoop swing is in the works and will soon be making it’s big debut. I adore the fairy-tale-like, magical atmosphere that these little princesses and I were able to conjure up. To say I love these pictures would be a wild understatement. These sessions truly are magical not only for their royal highnesses, but for me as well! (Especially when the lighting is as perfect as it has been recently!) New ideas such as this one light such an inspiration fire in my soul. I love creating new things that bring me closer to new friends.

The chance to take an aspiring soccer star, spelling bee champ, or little adventurer and turn them into a delicate princess, even if just for a short time, is such a magical experience. To show them how beautiful and treasured they are is an amazing thing to be a part of. Each one of these girls is so incredibly loved, more precious than the rarest of jewels.

Not sure what to wear? Have no fear! Dress rental, hair-styling and light makeup is included in your deposit. Delicate golden light, elegant gowns, and the prettiest princesses around twirling in hidden meadows, swinging on a bed of flowers. Something out of a bedtime story, don’t you think? I would love the opportunity to make this fairy-tale a reality for your little jewel.

I know, I know, it sounds amazing!  Here’s all the details:

And here’s some samples of what you can expect when you book one of these sessions! <3  Email me, call me, message me!  I cannot wait for these Woodlands Child Photographer Flower Swing Mini Sessions!

The Woodlands Natural Light Family Photographer – The B Family

“We weren’t sisters by birth, but we knew from the start, fate brought us together, to be sisters by heart.”

Oh. My. Goodness. I absolutely adore this perfect little family-to-be. These girls were born to be sisters. The way their personalities perfectly synchronize, while still shining individually is an absolutely beautiful thing to witness. Never have I met such a precious, smart, and hilarious group of goofy gigglers. Their mom and dad are newly engaged and wanted some engagement shots along with their families together. I really just can’t get over how well these five beautiful souls connected. I can imagine, how as parents, bringing together three girls (especially in this age range) could have been a daunting task. But I truly believe this family was brought together, not by blood, but by providence.

Call me a sap, but it literally brings tears to my eyes to look back through these pictures and see dad playing with his daughters. The look of pure happiness on all four of their faces cannot be staged. Perfectly organic, and sublimely natural. Love is just a word until you see it in action. And I saw it through my lens that day. These people were born to love each other. Nothing else was more apparent and I will always look back on this session with joy in my heart for this breathtakingly beautiful family.

I think I am repeating myself here but fall is seriously my favorite time of year!! Boots, leggings, long sweaters, hot coffee, the changing leaf colors, I could go on and on!! Its also the busiest time of year in the photography industry as people update their family photos during this time of year (typically) and use them for their Christmas cards! I’ll say that is my excuse for not keeping up with the blogging lately 🙂

My latest session is the Burnham family! They were amazingly fun and sweet! And isn’t the entire family just lovely! !It took a while for the sweet kiddos to give me some smiles but we had some fun 🙂 The Burnhams requested more lifestyle photography and not so much posed, which is so fun!! I get to sit back and capture your little ones and your family doing what they do best, spending time together! We played on the bridge looking for turtles, throwing rocks into the river, dancing, and running through the grass and small hills. Mom and Dad were so sweet and patient and up for pretty much anything. Its always so great when mom and dad are relaxed, especially when the kids may not be into the photo session, because it helps ease them into it and get those smiles going!

My oh my these sweet siblings were amazing!!! They were happy, sweet, and ready to pose!! And I seriously don’t think I have ever met a more relaxed 2 month old in my life! He was so chill and sweet!! They were ready to have fun, dance, and make their mama smile. Sweet  Mr M, oh he is a future GQ model for sure! So handsome and so ready to assist with little sister and brother! I could definitely feel the love he has for his siblings. Sweet A, oh she was a rockstar, she was very quiet but full of spunk!! She was amazing!! Oh and sweet J, like I mentioned, the most CHILL.BABY.EVER!

Mom specifically stated to me that the reason she wanted to do a photo shoot was because of “Our 3 beautiful children, we are enjoying every single moment we have with them. They grow up so fast, which is the reason I love to do photo shoots every year to keep a memory”. And that is exactly my goal! I want to capture your families memories, the fun, the smiles, the silliness, and yes even the craziness, pouts, and cries! That is what makes up your families memories and you should have each one of those captured and preserved for you for a lifetime.
